Personal insurance. All balloon flights are covered by insurance. However this is Aviation Insurance : all claims are settled in the courts, and it can take a long time for a claim to be dealt with. What I am after is confirmation that accident-prone passengers have an appropriate insurance that will cover breaking an ankle while getting in or out of the basket, loosing binoculars over the edge, facing the wrong way for the landing and banging their heads etc. Even the most basic of medical treatments are expensive now, and then there is the annoyance of days lost on the holiday. Usually it is enough to tell your travel insurance that you require additional cover for the one day of the balloon flight.
